National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) is a premier research Institute under Council Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR).
Applications are invited for the following posts:
Technician Group II (1) : PB1 (Rs.5200-20200)(Grade Pay: Rs.1900): Total 21 Posts
(10 posts are Unreserved (out of them one for PH); 1 post reserved for SC; 5 Posts reserved for ST (out of them one for PH) and 5 Posts reserved for OBC (Non-creamy Layer)(out of them one for PH)
- Post No. 1:(Reserved for SC): (EQ): SSC with 50% marks in aggregate with Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician (or) Certificate course in Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery from any Institution recognized by State/Central Governments. (D): Knowledge in Computer Operation.
- Post No. 2: (Un-reserved): (EQ): SSC / 10th standard with 50% marks in aggregate with a Certificate Course in Masonry or its equivalent. (D): Two years experience in Mason work.
- Post No. 3: (Reserved for ST): (EQ): SSC or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate
with ITI in Fitter trade. (D): Experience in repair and maintenance of water supply lines.
(JR): Installation and maintenance of Water supply and Sanitary fittings, Water Supply Pipe Lines, Control valves, Overhead Water Storage Tanks etc. - Post No. 4: (Un-reserved): (EQ): SSC / 10th standard with 50% marks in aggregate with ITI Certificate in Draftsman (Civil) or its equivalent. (D): Knowledge in Computer Operation.
- Post No. 5 & 6 [Two posts – One post Un-reserved and one post reserved for OBC (PH)]: (EQ): SSC / 10th standard with 50% marks in aggregate with a Certificate in Library Science (or) Intermediate/12th standard with minimum of 60% marks with Certificate in Library and Information Science from a recognized Institute. (D): Knowledge in Computer Operation.
- Post No. 7: (Un-reserved): (EQ): SSC / 10th standard with 50% marks in aggregate and ITI in Electrical trade. (D): Two years experience in Electrical Works.
- Post No.8: (Reserved for ST): (EQ): SSC / 10th standard with 50% marks in aggregate and ITI Certificate in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration trade. (D): Two years experience in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Works.
- Post No. 9:(Un-reserved): (EQ): SSC / 10th standard with 50% marks in aggregate with ITI in Electrical and Electronics (or) SSSC/ HSC/XII standard with 60% marks in aggregate with relevant technical subjects. (D): Two years experience in UPS Works.
- Post No. 10:(Reserved for OBC): (EQ): SSC with 50% marks in aggregate with Diploma in Pharmacy from the State/Central Government Dental Colleges. (D): Knowledge in Computer Operation.
- Post Nos. 11 & 12: (Two posts) (Both un-reserved): (EQ): SSC / 10th standard with 50% marks in aggregate with ITI certificate in Telephone Console Operation (or) SSSC/HSC/XII standard with 60% marks in aggregate with relevant technical subjects. (D): Two years experience in Telephone Console Operation.
- Post No. 13: (Un-reserved): (EQ): SSC or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate with ITI in Welding Trade. (D): Two years experience in Welding Works. (JR): To attend all kinds of welding works in the Laboratory and field.
- Post No. 14: (Reserved for OBC): (EQ): SSC or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate with ITI in Diesel Mechanic Trade. (D): Two years experience as Diesel Mechanic
- Post No. 15: (Reserved for ST (PH – Low Vision): (EQ): SSSC/HSC/12th with Maths, Physics and Chemistry with minimum of 60% marks or its equivalent. (D): Knowledge in Computer operation.
- Post No. 16: (Reserved for PH - Deaf or Partially Deaf): (EQ): SSSC/HSC/12th with Maths, Physics and Chemistry with minimum of 60% marks or its equivalent. (D): Knowledge in Computer operation
- Post Nos. 17 to 21: (Five posts) (Two posts each reserved for OBC & ST and one post Un-reserved): (EQ): SSSC/HSC/12th with Maths, Physics and Chemistry with minimum of 60% marks or its equivalent. (D): Knowledge in Computer operation.
Note: The number of vacancies is provisional and may vary at the time of selection.
Age Limit: Should not exceed 28 years as on the last date i.e. 21-08-2009 (Friday).
Applications from the candidates working in Govt. Departments/PSU/ Organization and
Govt. Funded Research Agencies will be considered only if forwarded “through proper
channel” (Advance copy of application should reach before the last date) and with (i) a clear
certificate that no vigilance case is pending/being contemplated against him/her; and (ii) the applicant will be relieved with in one month of receipt of appointment order.
Candidates applying for Post Nos. 17 to 21, one application is sufficient. But, for other posts,
separate applications should be submitted indicating clearly the Advertisement Number, Name of the Post, Post Number, accompanied by application fee of Rs.100/- separately for each application.
Applications may be submitted on plain paper, neatly typed on only one side, superscribed by
“Application for the post of Technician Group II (1) with Post Number against NGRI
Advertisement No. 1/2009” furnishing the particulars such as (1) Name (In capital letters) (2) Date of birth (3) Father’s name and occupation (4) Educational Qualifications (5) Experience, if any (6) Whether SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PH (7) Name of any close relative working in NGRI or in any CSIR laboratory (8) D.D No. & Date and amount (towards application fee) and (9) Detailed postal address for correspondence and (10) Any other information relating to the post applied for, duly signed by the candidate.
Application should be supported by attested copies of all relevant certificates including Community Certificate (In case of SC/ST/OBCs (Non-Creamy Layer) and Physical Handicapped
candidates) issued by the Competent Authority, passport size photograph of the individual along witha Non-refundable application fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) in the form of D.D. drawn in favour of Director, National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Hyderabad-500 606, valid at least of 6 months, should be sent so as to reach the Controller of Administration, NGRI, Hyderabad-500 606, on or before 21st August, 2009 (Friday).
SC/ST/PH candidates and regular employees of CSIR are exempted from payment of application fee.
